FIVE FOODS TO IMPROVE WEIGHT L
Have you been wondering that despite working out and lifting heavy weights, you are still having a hard time trying to l
People on a normal day tend to just buy food that is readily available on the market or if we have a short trip to the supermarket, we usually buy the first thing that we see on the grocery rack which is almost all of the time “unhealthy”. Well, to be honest we are guilty on that part. Ouch!
Now to avoid that, we will give you some tips on how to create a better meal plan, how are we going to do it, and the importance of meal planning.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Why is meal planning an important task? It saves us time, it helps us to ensure that we have a variety of foods to choose from, and it helps us to ensure that we are eating the right foods in the right portions.
If you don’t like to eat the same meal over and over, meal planning is the best answer.
How are we going to do it?
SELECT YOUR RECIPES.
Plan your weekly recipes ahead of time. Start doing this on Friday if you are a weekend shopper. Plan for breakfast, lunch, in between meal snacks, dinner or even for midnight snacks.
MAKE A LIST.
This is very important. Before making your trip to the grocery store, make sure you have the grocery list with you. Just make sure you did not forget where you put your list because this is another problem! Making a list is very crucial in planning for a better meal. Whether you are the type of person who goes out to the grocery store every other day or a weekly grocery shopper, make a list. Breakdown all the recipes and the ingredients that you plan to prepare for the whole week.
Ooops, don’t forget to include on your list the recipes for a surprise house guest/s so you won’t panic in case some of your friends or relatives drops by at your place.
ALWAYS OPT FOR HOME COOKED MEALS.
This can save you a lot of money compared to buying a ready to eat food at the restaurant. If you’re a health buff, you can also ensure that you are eating a well-balanced type of food. Remember this slogan, JERF! Just Eat Real Foods. Aja!
MAKE IT A HABIT TO CHECK WHAT’S INSIDE YOUR REFRIGERATOR, PANTRY OR FREEZER.
You may not know it but maybe some of the ingredients on your list are still available right at your own kitchen!
PLAN TO USE LEFTOVERS.
If there are chicken left from last night’s dinner, you can still use them for today’s snack. Put it in a bun add a bit of mayo and a lettuce, now you have your homemade chicken sandwich!
CHECK OUT RECIPES AND INGREDIENTS THAT ARE ON SALE.
But make sure that you will use these items so that they don’t go to waste. That’s another way of wasting your money, dear!
The last part is important.
KNOW WHAT YOUR FAMILY LIKES TO EAT.
Encourage every member of the family to share their favorite menus and help you out in meal planning and preparation. And hey, don’t forget to include the kids’ favorite meals too!
One Last Thing
Don’t let the word meal planning freak you out! Not everything you put on your list is purely for cooking. Meal planning is not for gourmet cooking too! You can even plan not to cook. What matters most here is that you know what to buy, where to buy and where to use it. Know your menus so that you would know what needs to be prepared.
I hope you guys were able to get some ideas and guidelines on meal preparation. Standby for more helpful tips!
